It's hard to imagine a normal day without products that make our lives easier and better. It's hard to imagine Bochemie without SAVO. But do you know who is behind its creation? In 1973 it was invented by our employee, Mr. Jiří Hradil. The name SAVO, which he designed himself and which stands for 'water sanitization' (in Czech: sanace vody), has become synonymous with disinfection. In the more than half a century since its launch, SAVO has grown into a wide range of cleaning and disinfecting products used not only in households, but also in healthcare, food industry and gastronomy, not only in the Czech Republic, but also in other countries of Central and South-Eastern Europe.
Jiří Hradil has devoted his entire professional life to practical chemistry in industrial production, honest and hard work for Bochemie and has contributed significantly to the improvement of the daily lives of several generations of consumers. For his merits he was awarded the title of Personality of Czech Chemistry by the Confederation of Chemical Industry of the Czech Republic. Congratulations! For health reasons, Mr. Hradil was unable to receive the award in person, so David Vodička, a member of Bochemie's Board of Directors, received it for him.
Mr. Hradil's story is an example of honest and hard work and determination that offers us a valuable lesson that innovation and commitment can bring about real change. And at Bochemie we are changing a lot - moving from chemistry to electrochemistry, from disinfection to industrial batteries.
